We are a small team in a big company, mainly adopting agile methodology. We provide Data Science solutions for internal customers and our skills and solutions are continually in high demand. Therefore, we want to increase the size of our team with additional technical people that know how to process and analyze data so we can serve and satisfy needs of even more customers. We are looking for somebody who can work independently, create working solutions quickly, creatively come up with new ideas, but also knows how to use and where to look for existing solutions. Our project members are situated in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania so video conferencing is the daily standard. This vacancy is suitable for graduates with advanced knowledge of Python, IT people who would like to change their focus towards ML / AI or anyone else with required background who is interested in this area and is motivated enough to show and use the skill set we need. Purpose of the job: Providing of Data Science solutions in areas of finance and procurement services for internal customers inside Deutsche Telekom. Job content: • you will be responsible to improve our frontend for data-driven forecasts provided to our financial management • our frontend in use is built in Python (using Dash and plotly) • you will foster the customer experience by stabilizing and improving this existing solution (better visualization, automated validations, enable what if scenario analysis) • you will be responsible for identification and implementing upcoming business requirements • depending on the use case, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of tools and technologies like Relational Databases, Python Data Science packages (pandas, scikit) and BI dashboarding tools like MicroStrategy and SAP SAC • cooperate with the business side including your active contribution in customer workshops, meetings, and calls so the ability to explain technical points to business colleagues is a crucial part of this job, as is a consultant’s mindset • participate in team brainstorming sessions, code reviews, and pair programming sessions • you will have the chance to identify possible use cases for automation and data science, innovative ideas are welcome

Employee requirements

Experience: • 4+ years with data science projects, ideally with time series forecasting, Big Data, Data Science and Business Intelligence, Python and/or R • profound experience in software development using Python programming language, preferably in libraries Dash, pandas, scikit, matplotlib, seaborn, etc. • working experience with Data Science projects, preferably developing visualization and dashboard solutions • we work with Jupyter Notebook or other IDEs like Pycharm, Visual Studio - experience with some of these tools is more than welcome • experience with visualization software like MicroStrategy, SAP SAC is advantage • you are flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands and preferably you have already successfully applied agile methodology (e.g. Scrum) • you are an analytical thinker, have an affinity for structure, grasp things fast and work systematically • proactivity towards our internal clients is essential • active participation and contribution in extending and sharing your knowledge Language knowledge: English (fluent) and German (beneficial) Skills: • you are not afraid to ask questions when something is not clear or point out when something seems inefficient to you • you are an analytical thinker, have an affinity for structure, grasp things fast and work systematically • you can develop working solutions quickly and you get things done • proactivity towards customer service is essential • flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands • a thorough and methodical approach to work • highly developed skills in interpersonal communication • knowledge sharing – active contributor
