Time management

We all know this very well. Every single one of us battles relentlessly with time. But time doesn’t have to be explicitly our enemy, as long as we can define it correctly and prioritize our tasks.
This is true both in private and at work. Many of us ask how is it possible that top management manages multiple tasks at once and even with a smile on their face? My answer is unequivocal – they are trying to manage their time properly. These successful people are able to set tasks, set priorities and, above all, plan their time in advance.

There are many techniques for mastering Time Management, for example:

  • The Eisenhower Method
  • Pomodoro technique
  • Pareto rule
  • GTD method,
  • Domino
  • ABCDE method

Honestly, everyone prefers a different method. If paper and pen doesn’t suit you, try apps like: Trello, Toogle, Any.do, RescueTime, To Do List.

Using the right techniques, each of us can work towards more efficient time management. It’s a good idea to try all the techniques, it’s the only way to find out which one is right for you.
As with everything in life, there is one cardinal and golden rule: “Technique must be practiced, practiced, practiced”! It’s best to start with time management right away. If you are determined and time is your obstacle to achieving your goals, then you are on the right track. At the end of the day, always take track of what you did well and what you didn’t. Plan your tasks in advance, that’s the only way to be successful. If your plans get disrupted , you yourself must be able to evaluate which duties are urgent and which ones can wait. Sometimes it is appropriate and necessary to say NO. Find your own way to work less and with maximum efficiency. Concentrate on what is most important at work – only then will you achieve results that will make you and, ultimately, your employer happy.
